When considering a new dental laboratory, it’s understandable that you likely have questions or concerns about what to expect. At Perfect Impressions, we’ve taken the time to compile many of the queries we receive most often from practitioners and their answers right here for added convenience. Do you offer complimentary consultations?

Yes! Your initial conversation with our laboratory is 100% free so that you can learn more about what we do and how we do it without any unnecessary financial pressures. We want to earn your business the right way – it’s as simple as that.

What are the benefits of digital scanning versus traditional impressions?

At Perfect Impressions, we are big believers in the various advantages of digital scanning. This modern approach leads to more efficient turnaround times, enhanced doctor/lab collaboration, a minimal chance of time-consuming remakes, a smoother workflow, and higher-quality products – just to name a few benefits! What is your percentage of remakes?

We are extremely proud to have a remake factor of less than 1% of our cases. Our seasoned technicians take the time to do the work right the first time around – and this commitment to quality shows!

Do you charge for remakes?

Not at all. If a remake becomes necessary, there is no additional charge for the dentist. However, we do want to have a discussion regarding why the remake happened and how we can prevent it from occurring again in future cases. Excellent quality and personalization are our top priorities, after all.

What’s your turnaround time for single unit cases?

There is a standard turnaround time of 10 working days or less for single unit cases.

What’s your turnaround time for implant cases?

There is a standard turnaround time of 15 working days or less for cases involving implants and custom abutments.

Do you charge for pickup & delivery?

No! Pickups of impressions/casework and the final delivery of your finished restoration(s) are both 100% complimentary when you partner with Perfect Impressions.

Do you charge for rush cases?

We are happy to accept rush cases at no charge in most situations! However, please keep in mind that if our technicians must work overtime to complete your case in the agreed-upon timeframe, you will be responsible for additional fees.

What happens when a patient comes to the lab for a shade?

We are always happy to welcome patients into the laboratory for shading purposes! Upon arrival, they will be greeted warmly by our team and led into our special shading room that is solely designed for that unique purpose, from the color-corrected lights to the top-tier photography equipment. At that point, technicians will use extensive shade guides to determine the perfect match for the patient’s tooth color, looking at qualities like value, hue, and chroma. Once the formula has been generated, we’ll take some final photos, verify models are correctly articulated, study the patient smile line and address any concerns or questions the patient may have.

In some cases, the Perfect Impressions team will request that patients attend a follow-up appointment so that we can doublecheck the shade and add any last-minute touches to ensure optimal success. We want to help them smile as brightly as possible!

Does your lab outsource restorations to other countries?

Certainly not. We’re proud to personally create all crowns, bridges, implant abutments, and more right here in our U.S. laboratories.
